Nine-year-old burn victim identified

The body of a burnt nine-year-old girl that was discovered on Saturday morning has been identified as Akundaishe Natalie Chipomho, born in Harare.
Namibian Police's Head of Crime Investigations, Nelius Becker confirmed this at a media briefing.
Her mother and the two suspects, believed to have taken the body to the refuse bin in Windhoek North, where they burnt it, have been brought in for questioning.
The male suspect is being treated at an undisclosed hospital, after sustaining injuries in a car accident on Sunday, when the police car he was travelling in overturned near Otjiwarongo, in the Otjozondjupa Region, after his arrest.
The suspects are expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
