A delegation of political office-bearers and administrative officers from the Oshakati and Ondangwa town councils are on an eight-day visit to Angola.
The delegation will visit the three towns of Ondjiva, Namibe and Lubango.
Oshakati Mayor Katrina Shimbulu confirmed their departure to Nampa, saying the delegation includes six representatives of Oshakati and four from Ondangwa.
She said they will be joined by a delegation of ten representatives of the Angolan Consulate Office at Oshakati.
The visit is an invitation by the Oshakati-based Angolan Consulate Office for the parties to discuss twinning agreements.
Such agreements usually facilitate the setting up of long-term relationships to promote culture, business and tourism.
The signatories undertake a commitment together and there is no legal recourse, if any problems arise in the future.
