Oshakati Regional Health Training students demand tuition fees from NSFAF

Student nurses at the Oshakati Regional Health Training demand their tuition fees from NSFAF

Student nurses at the Oshakati Regional Health Training Center demonstrated on Tuesday, demanding their tuition fees from the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund. They said their study loans have not been paid into their bank accounts for the past two years. The demonstrators marched from Oshakati to the NSFAF offices at Ongwediva Hifikepunye Pohamba Cumpus. They accused the fund of depriving them of their education as they had no money to buy textbooks or study guides. In response, the NSFAF Regional Office said it was aware of the situation the students found themselves in, promising to channel their petition to its Head office in Windhoek.
NSFAF was given until next week to pay the study loans.
