The Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) says the bags of some students in Cuba could not be accommodated on the South African Charter flight.
Government requested the South African Airways to repatriate Ambassador Samuel /Goagoseb, five-other Namibians and essential cargo to the Mission in Cuba over the weekend.
However due to limited space, parcels meant for students could not be taken along and were subsequently returned to Namibia.
The Ministry, in a statement, said it would continue to engage the South African government on the availability of humanitarian flights to transport the student's parcels.
