PDM wins Opuwo Rural by-election

Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) candidate Kakuva Cornelius Uaurikua has been elected councillor of Opuwo Rural Constituency.
He has won 2 066 of the 3 141 votes cast in the election held across the constituency on Monday.
NUDO candidate Kapukatua Kuvare has come in second place after receiving 640 votes.
SWAPO's Steyn Katupa has finished third after receiving a total of 435 votes.
ECN Returning Officer for that by-election, Mike Nganjone, has announced that only 20 ballots were rejected in the by-election.
