Uaurikua Kakuva of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has obtained 2 355 votes in the Opuwo Rural Constituency, defeating his closest rival Kapukatua Kuvare of NUDO who got 646 votes.
Tjakazapi Mbunguha of SWAPO got 597 while Independent Patriots for Change's (IPC) Mbapeua Ruhozu go 26 votes.
Results for Opuwo Urban, Sesfontein and Epupa constituencies are yet to be announced.
PDM members in Opuwo have started celebrating their victory for Opuwo Rural.
