Police storm Fountain of Water Ministry

Hundreds of Windhoek residents have converged on a church in the Freedom Square residential area, where some members of the church are allegedly held.
The Namibian Police stormed the Fountain of Water Ministry Sunday night, after allegedly learning that the church keeps some of its members inside the premises for days.
It is alleged that the church-goers, some of them married women and others students, are kept on the premises of the church.
The police say one of the church-goers was found ill and taken to a hospital Monday morning and most of the people found at the church had gone without food for days.
The crowd of people that have gathered at the church has grown considerably since Windhoek residents started learning of the police operation.
Some relatives of church-goers are among the crowd.
The police are due to hold a media briefing to inform the public about developments surrounding the church.
