Pre-primary to Grade 3 to resume face-to-face learning on 6 July

The Ministry of Education has announced the new school calendar for face-to-face learning, as per Stage 4 of the state of emergency regulations announced by President Hage Geingob today.
Pre-primary to Grade 3 will resume on 6 July, Grades 7 and 9 will resume on 20 July and Grades 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 will resume on 3 August.
All classes will end on 18 December.
This is, however, not applicable for learners in the Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Arandis local authorities, which will only be determined pending developments around the COVID-19 outbreak there.
The ministry has emphasised that the return of learners is voluntary and that teachers will avail learning material to those parents who decide to keep their children at home. Parents will, however, be responsible for ensuring that learning continues and assignments are submitted on time.
