President, First Lady commemorate ELCRN independence in Rehoboth

President Hage Geingob and First Lady Monica Geingos on Sunday morning joined hundreds at Rehoboth's Paulus Parish to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia’s (ELCRN) independence from German missionaries.
The church transformed from being a German missionary with a membership of over 300 000 people across Namibia.
The gathering also commemorated the 500 years of the reformation of Lutheran Church worldwide marked annually on 31 October.
The first family are regular visitors of the Inner-City Lutheran Congregation near Windhoek’s central business district.
