President Geingob bids farewell to Bience Gawa!nas

President Hage Geingob has sent off Bience Gawa!nas, reminding her that her appointment will come with high expectations.
"Don't let us down, all eyes will be on Africa, Namibia and southern Africa. We are sending you, a daughter we trust. You got this [position] on your own merit but expectations are high and responsibilities a lot," Geingob said.
Gawa!nas was appointed Special Advisor on Africa to the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres last month. She will officially start on 19 March at UN headquarters in New York.
Geingob said that Africa and UN has have outstanding issues such as the continent's quest for permanent representation on UN Security Council and overall reform.
