President Geingob expresses dismay over damages and loss of life in Germany

President Hage Geingob has expressed dismay over the loss of life and properties as a result of floods that hit some parts of Germany.
The disastrous rainfall received last week caused dams to burst and rivers to overflow into towns across western Germany, Belgium, as well as parts of the Netherlands, Switzerland and northern France.
According to media reports, more than 170 Germans have died and dozens are missing and displaced in provinces of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia.
President Geingob, in a letter to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, expressed confidence that the people of Germany would overcome the impact of the disaster and restore normalcy to the affected areas in due time.
