President Geingob extends well wishes to Angola on 44th independence anniversary

Angola marked its 44th independence anniversary on Monday.
President Hage Geingob extended well-wishes to his Angolan counterpart, Joao Lourenco and the people of Angola.
In a statement to the media, Geingob said that Namibia looks forward to deepening historical relations, characterised by trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges.
Angola gained independence from Portugal in 1975, and further played an instrumental role in the liberation of Namibia from apartheid South Africa.
President Geingob said it was against this eternal kinship that Namibians join their counterparts in marking the occasion.
