Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) president Jeremiah Nambinga has resigned.
Nambinga who is one of the founders of the party, and had been its leader for almost four years, announced his exit at a media briefing late Thursday afternoon.
He acknowledged that RDP was characterised by feuds and factions and that at the moment the party's principles were being violated, the reason why he is leaving.
Nambinga said although he is resigning as president, he will remain a member of RDP.
