Shikwambi cautions motorists to be extra cautious during the rainy season

Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi has called on motorists to drive slow and be extra cautious to avoid road accidents.
Commissioner Shikwambi said our country is continuing to be blessed with the much-needed rain and therefore it is required from each driver to be responsible and adapt to the changing road conditions.
"We cannot control the rain, however, we can control ourselves and the vehicles we are driving".
Shikwambi said rainy weather conditions cause roads to be slippery and the visibility becomes limited and thus obvious that we cannot continue to drive like normal.
She, therefore, reminded drivers that the usual speed limits of 60km/h within the towns and cities and the 120 km/h on highways, does not apply when the condition of the road has changed.
