Simataa announces appointment of new Permanent Secretaries

The Secretary to Cabinet, George Simataa has announced new appointments and reassignments of five Permanent Secretaries.
I-Ben Nashandi was transferred to the Prime Minister's Office from the Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare Ministry.
Annely Haiphene was appointed Permanent Secretary of Economic Planning Ministry and National Planning Commission.
Esther Lusepani replaces Nashandi at the Poverty Eradication Ministry, while Annascy Mwanyangapo is the new Public Enterprises Permanent Secretary.
Abraham Iilonga is appointed as the Veterans Affairs Permanent Secretary.
All permanent secretaries will assume duty at their respective ministries and offices from 1 August, on contracts ranging from two to five years.
The Permanent Secretaries were appointed on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
Haiphene and Lusepani will serve their ministries until 2023, while Myanyangapo serves the Public Enterprise Ministry until 2021. Iilonga's term will end in May 2020.
