Six occupants of a sedan, including the driver and children, passed away after an accident on the B2 road between Usakos and Arandis Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of a green Toyota Passo sedan, which was traveling towards Arandis, lost control over the vehicle and bumped into a Snyman Transport
truck.
The sedan had seven occupants; four women, two minor girls and the driver who was the only male in the car.
The victims have not yet identified.
Only one woman, Rosalia Mwedihanga, who was reportedly given a lift in the car from Omaruru, survived.
She was taken to Swakopmund State hospital for medical treatment. She's in a serious but stable condition.
The truck driver was alone and is unhurt.
The case of culpable homicide and reckless and or negligent driving will be registered at Usakos Police Station.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
