Sixteen-year-old arrested for murder

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 28-year-old man on Friday at Farm Morrison in the Khorixas district.
According to the Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) weekend crime report issued on Sunday, the deceased identified as Elifas Shipila, was stabbed with a kitchen knife after an argument.
Shipila was declared dead upon arrival at the Khorixas State Hospital and his next of kin were informed.
Meanwhile, police at Opuwo opened a case of dealing with cannabis and planting dependence-producing drugs on Friday.
According to the crime report, a 39-year-old woman suspect was arrested after she was found with parcels of cannabis valued at N$14 300.
Police at Kamanjab arrested six male suspects after they were found with giraffe meat and an unlicensed rifle that they allegedly used as a hunting weapon.
The vehicle used in the incident, as well as the meat, were seized.
A case of hunting of specially protected game was opened.
Police investigations in the matters continue.
