Struggle icon Dr Nickey Iyambo laid to rest at Heroes' Acre

Struggle icon and former Vice President, Dr Nickey Iyambo has been buried.
Hundreds of mourners went to bid farewell to the late Dr Iyambo at the Heroes' Acre.
Dr Nickey Iyambo died on 19 May in Windhoek, after a long illness.
To many, he was a dedicated, soft-spoken, humble politician who put the interest of the country first.
President Hage Geingob described the occasion as heart-wrenching, saying Namibians would forever cherish the life and legacy of the late Iyambo.
He is survived by his wife, Johanna Iyambo and four children as well as grandchildren.
