Three cases opened against Police at Ondangwa

Three cases of malicious damage to property and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm have been opened against the Namibian Police Force at Ondangwa following Saturday's scuffle with supporters of Independent presidential candidate, Dr Panduleni Itula.
NamPol's spokesperson in the Oshana Region, Inspector Thomas Aiyambo says the cases were laid by Tomas Namupala, Rasarus Elias and Elizabeth Shilamba.
Namupala alleges that the windscreen of his car has been damaged by the police, while Elias claims that the window of his bar was damaged.
Shilamba opened a case of assault after she sustained slight injuries on her legs.
The incident happened on Saturday when a group of Itula supporters allegedly caused traffic chaos on the road between Ondangwa and Oshakati.
