Three minors suffocate in parked vehicle at Rundu

Three minors have suffocated and died after a parked vehicle they were playing in locked itself at Rundu's Kehemu Informal Settlement.
The children are said to have opened and entered a BMW sedan that was parked at a garage in their neighbourhood.
Their parents were inside the house at the time of the incident and discovered the children died after a search.
They were pronounced dead on arrival at the Rundu State Hospital.
The two girls and one boy were identified as two-year-olds Gideon Shammah Katewa and Shirunda Mukanda as well as three-year-old Engelbertha Makanga.
In another incident, a 46-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging in the Sauyemwa Informal Settlement.
According to the police report, Albertinah Nekwaya Haufiku hanged herself with a wrapper in her bedroom but did not leave a suicide note.
Police investigations in both incidents continue.
