The leader of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) has urged //Kharas Region's business people and Government officials to co-operate in packaging the region's investment opportunities.
NCCI president, Bisey Uirab recently told entrepreneurs and officials attending a recent business meeting at Keetmanshoop that these packages attract investors and stimulate growth.
He said the business community should forge partnerships with their counterparts in South Africa's Northern Cape and establish bilateral trade relations.
Uirab says the port of Luderitz and Keetmanshoop as gateways can eliminate poverty by allowing for the flow of trade in diamonds, and exploitation of the various agricultural opportunities.
Some business people at the meeting said small to medium businesses in the region struggle to raise funds or access funding for their projects, through the banks.
They stressed that getting land from the local authority was the other big challenging confronting them.
