Unam approves revised fees for registration period

The University of Namibia has approved revised fees for the 2018 registration period.
Unam's public relations officer, Simon Namesho, said in a media release, that students may now register with as little deposit as 20% of their tuition fees, including those with outstanding balances.
The remaining 30% is payable before the start of examination in May, but students with outstanding debts from last year will be required to clear them.
Namesho said the remaining 30% of the 2018 tuition fees should be paid before examination starts in May.
The minimum deposit on tuition fees for SADC and non-SADC students has been reduced to 50% and 60% respectively.
All students will still pay N$2 000 as the compulsory 2018 registration fee.
During the second semester, students should pay 20% of the remaining amount and the remaining 30% is payable before examinations commence in October.
For non-SADC students, 20% is also payable at the commencement of the second semester to view results and the remaining 20% before the commencement of the examination in October.
