Unsentenced offenders in prison cause overcrowding in cells

Namibia is the only country in the world keeping unsentenced offenders in prison cells.
The Namibia Correctional Service Commissioner-General, Raphael Hamunyela says this is one of the contributing factors of overcrowding in cells.
The number of unsentenced offenders stands at 130 against the over 3900 convicted offenders, the budget of NCS is too limited to accommodate all these inmates.
