The Boards of SBN Holdings and Standard Bank Namibia have announced that Vetumbuavi Mungunda will step down as chief executive and leave the group with effect from 1 May 2021.
This was announced in a statement by Herbi Maier, chairman of the board, that the advance notice will allow for a well-planned, smooth transition process and sufficient time for a suitable candidate to be found and to support an orderly transition.
The process to appoint a successor to Mungunda will commence and a further announcement will be made soon.
Mungunda has been CEO for the past six years and provided outstanding leadership, strategic direction and vision through very difficult and challenging times, said Maier.
