WorldSkills impact on Namibia's TVET sector phenomenal - Kandjii-Murangi

Namibia will continue its involvement and association with WorldSkills International. Dr Itah Kandjii-Murangi, Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation says the impact of WorldSkills on Namibia’s Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector had been nothing short of phenomenal.
Namibia has an 11-member team at WorldSkills2019 in Kazan. The Higher Education Minister led the delegation to the Russian city. Dr Kandjii-Murangi used the opportunity to tour the expansive Kazan International Exhibition Centre.
She also visited the various skills area of Team Namibia to meet with competitors and Namibian experts and to share a word of encouragement with them. Dr Kandjii-Murangi told NBC News that she was impressed by how the Namibians are doing.
Dr Kandjii-Murangi further pointed out that the level of exposure at WorldSkills 2019 was second to none, particularly against the background of Namibia’s transformation of the TVET sector. She stated that the results of Namibia’s involvement with Worldskills International are tangible.
Namibia is part of the WorldSkills movement for the past eight years, having joined as a full member in 2011.
