Zambezi villages flooded

A number of villages in the Zambezi Region are flooded with some residents having already been relocated to higher ground.
Villages have been submerged by flood waters since Monday.
The Izimwe Nakabolelwa and Ngoma Ioma roads are slowly being submerged by flood waters.
There is a likelihood that more villagers will be cut off from services.
One of the affected villages is Richard Poniso where some residents are trapped as water submerged their homes.
Regional Councillors in the Zambezi Region last week visited some areas in Kabbe South and North as well as Katima Rural constituencies to assess the situation of the floods.
The Katima Mulilo Town Council chairperson, Beaven Munali, told NBC News that the council had already started distributing tents to the affected residents and that some people have already been relocated.
