Death toll in Zimbabwe post-election violence rise to six

Six people have died and 14 others were injured in Wednesday's demonstrations that turned deadly.
Twenty six suspects have been arrested.
Eight vehicles were damaged and a number of shops vandalised while some hawkers lost their stock.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba has blamed the violence on MDC Alliance supporters and drunk youths.
Charamba further denied that the ZRP in any way prevented people from being in the city centre, saying most people chose to do so.
Charamba has assured the public that the police is ready to deal with any incidences of violence that could break out after the announcement of presidential results.
The army will join the police in maintaining peace and order during Thursday evening.
