CEO of Standard Bank expressed satisfaction with Standard Bank Cup

The Chief Executive Officer of Standard Bank Vetumbuavi Mungunda has expressed his satisfaction with the organisation of the Standard Bank Cup, which ended over the weekend.
Saturday's Standard Bank final brought down the curtain to the first edition of the Standard Bank Top 8 Cup.
The competition is regarded as the most prestigious and biggest knock-out football event in the country, in terms of monetary value.
Speaking after the colourful final, which was won by African Stars by two goals to nil over Tigers, the bank's Chief Executive Officer heaped praise on the high bar set by the organisers.
“If i have to rate this year competition - i will give 8 out of 10 percent. I am satisfied with the outcome and with two editions to go i expects big things to happen as well” Mungunda said.
Mungunda however sees areas that the organisers should pay more attention to in future editions of the Cup.
“For instance you don't see people coming to other matches like today. People should turn up at all matches in big numbers until the final and not the final alone” he added.
Standard Bank announced a hefty 9-million Namibia-dollar three year sponsorship towards the competition, which is expected to end in 2021.
