Okonjima Dragons claim victory at Inline Hockey African Cup

The third edition of the Inline Hockey Africa Cup came to a close after four days of world class hockey action at the coast.
The Okonjima Dragons were crowned the open men's champions for the second year running, having beaten Namibia's senior men's team by 6 goals to two.
The third edition of the Inline Hockey Africa Cup saw some of the world's most prominent inline hockey players in action at the Dome in Swakopmund.
The event also witnessed a first-ever All Star game between Team Africa and Team World, where after a full time game and a tied score of 5-5, the game went to extra time where Team World emerged victorious by 6-5.
Namibia's Senior Men's side reached the final of the 2019 Inline Hockey Africa Cup, going head to head against defending champions Okonjima Dragons.
The Namibia Senior Men team defeated Hockeyshop Forster 6-2 in the semi-final of the tournament to reach their third consecutive final.
Okonjima Dragons reached the final when they beat Namibia Junior Men in the second semi-final.
The U/14 division's final was contested between FNB and Weimann's Carpentry.
FNB defeated TV2 Namibia by 6-2 while Weimann's Carpentry saw off Ground Rush Adventures by 2-1 to reach the final in a division which gave room for a lot of promise and hope for upcoming inline hockey players.
Weimann's Carpentry won the final against FNB, 4-3.
For next year, the plan is to make the event one of the biggest inline hockey tournaments in the world.
